It’s funny how, when you enter a building or a room you start feeling different. Buildings can influence the way people feel, work and develop.
As a twelve year old I considered a career in architecture. But as I got more and more involved in photography, I gradually abandoned the idea.
And then when I was nineteen, the Dutch Ministry of Education asked me to photograph all their buildings. It felt like coming home.
Since then I have often been able to combine my two passions. It has resulted in several dozen architecture books that bear my name.
